The sequence of events in a play, novel, film, etc

In this book Moon Shadow, having never met his father, travels across the Pacific Ocean to finally meet his father in America. Then Windrider (his father) and Moon Shadow run off in order to fulfill Windriders dream to become a dragon again by flying.
EXPOSITION
The introduction which includes the setting and characters

In this novel the characters include Moon Shadow, Mother, Grandmother, Windrider, Hand Clap, Uncle Bright Star, Lefty, Black Dog, Miss Whitlaw, and Robin. The starting setting is in the Middle Kingdom, or China. Then Moon Shadow travels across the ocean to the Golden Mountain Land, or Chinatown.
Rising Action
The point of a novel, play, film, etc, where the development of the conflict is shown

The Rising Action of Dragonwings is when Windrider runs away and Moon Shadow follows him. They then find residence in Miss Whitlaw's house.
Climax
When action or suspense takes place in the play

The Climax is when the Earthquake occurs; causing a gigantic fire that burns all the remnants of the earthquake’s destruction. Windrider and Moon Shadow return to the company only to leave months later to try yet again to fulfill Windriders dream of flying.
Falling Action
The point of the story where the events move towards the conclusion

Black Dog comes back again and steals Windriders money by threatening to kill his son, forcing them to move out of their barn and sell Dragonwings. The company however, through Miss Whitlaw, finds out of this financial trouble and comes to the rescue. Windrider then flies Dragonwings, but crashes.
Resolution
The end of the play that gives you the unanswered questions

Windrider, after crashing Dragonwings, realizes that family is more important then flying. Also we learn that mother will be allowed to come to America to join them. Moon Shadow’s life in America seems like it will be good.
